Ramayana & Mahabharata are older than Odyssey, no doubt, but are we capable today to adapt them into films of this sophistication? we've cringed the hell out of our stories in cinema.

@fozzywrites Not saying they're BETTER. Nolan's pitch perfect record speaks for itself. My point is that the ones who are vouching for Rajamouli, just want a full blown mass version of it (which tbf no one does better than him).

Tears man I legit saw people saying “Rajamouli or Bhansali” would’ve made a better #TheOdyssey What are people smoking these days? Nolan has shown levels with every single department in this film. This is what complete command over the craft looks like.

Nolan just a took another masterclass on filmmaking. Odyssey shines the most when it talks about Odysseus’s guilt. The drama works well, every lead actor nail their part, you arent even bored for a second. And only Nolan couldve perfectly concised Homer’s Odyssey. [⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️]

@naughtyrobot725 Neither would’ve made a better odyssey than nolan. Scale is only one part of the equation. The writing, the staging, the shot design, the cinematography and the sheer directorial control uff Nolan showed levels.

@fozzywrites Cant compare tbh. Less resources at disposal for those two. Bhansali is past his prime now. For Rajamouli, he's more of Bay+Cameron. Can totally see him delivering something better than Avatar with a $200M budget

#TheOdyssey has comfortably entered my top 3 Nolan films of all time, behind only Interstellar and The Dark Knight. The way Nolan fuses mythology, spectacle, emotion and Ludwig Göransson’s score into one cohesive cinematic experience is extraordinary. Must Watch.

@priya185 Him being “very good” in Chandu Champion doesn’t cut it. This is the National Award we’re talking about. Kartik delivered a good performance by his standards. But saying it was better than Prithviraj in Aadujeevitham or Ajay Devgn in Maidaan? That’s absolute bollocks.

Seriously, what an absurd decision. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that Kartik Aaryan’s name will forever be on the same list of NA winners as Manoj Bajpayee, Irrfan and Big B while Ranveer still hasn’t won despite Bajirao Padmaavat 83 Gully Boy and Ranbir still hasn’t won despite Rockstar Barfi Sanju. On top of that, they robbed Ajay Devgn and Prithviraj plus he’s sharing the award with a legend like Mammootty. An absolute mockery of what the National Awards are supposed to represent.

The credibility of the National Awards has gone to absolute shit in recent years. We’re living in a timeline where Kartik Aaryan has a National Award before Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor despite the latter two delivering multiple career defining performances. What a joke.

#Ramayana trailer reports are outstanding. Watching a well made Ramayana with top tier vfx and generational bgm on IMAX CoLa 4K 1.90:1 12 channel immersive sound honestly feels like a dream. If Namit and Nitesh have truly pulled it off, I’ll be grateful. Can’t wait for July 24.
