Amid intensifying climate impacts across many Muslim-majority countries, efforts to balance development priorities, energy security, and long-term sustainability are becoming increasingly important. At the same time, the growing role of Islamic finance and philanthropy presents new opportunities to support climate and energy transition efforts.

The Indo-Pacific region is undergoing rapid geopolitical and economic change, with rising strategic competition, shifting alliances, and new pressures on multilateral cooperation. In this complex setting, Indonesia and Japan – two influential Indo-Pacific powers – have the opportunity to work together in safeguarding stability, promoting inclusive growth, and reinforcing ASEAN centrality. Dialogue between these two nations is essential to navigate shared challenges, identify opportunities for cooperation, and formulate strategies that strengthen the rules-based order. Under this backdrop, FPCI and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) presents this joint seminar which will present and discuss the joint research by FPCI and GRIPS, titled “Indo-Pacific’s Dynamic Duo of Resilience: Mapping Indonesia-Japan Convergences, Divergences, and Strategic Alignment”. Join the discussion through bit.ly/FPCI-GRIPS and get your e-certificate!

Sementara, Arab Saudi, Qatar, Mesir, Turkiye, Pakistan, Maroko semuanya merujuk pd "two-state solution" dlm pidato mrk di KTT BoP. #wisdomwithoutfear #speaktruthtopower #speaktruthtothepeople

Delighted to participate and intervene briefly at the Climate Security Breakfast at this year’s @MunSecConf, co-hosted by @e3g and @fpcindo. Shared perspectives on strengthening cooperation and fostering more meaningful dialogue on the climate–security nexus, particularly among partners with stakes in the Indo-Pacific. Reaffirmed the importance of stronger cooperation to advance a stable, secure, and climate-resilient region. #MSC2026

This idea strongly converges with what Dr. Dino Patti Djalal, Founder and Chairman of FPCI, has long emphasized: “Middle powers don’t just want a seat — they want to help shape the menu.”

From Davos, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered a sharp reminder: ”If middle powers are not at the table, they’re on the menu.”
