@FPLLiveApp True , my whole squad includes 0 players from the World Cup QF due to fatigue indeed , Then WC7 and get in the likes of haaland . Haaland I would of been tempted by due to QF instead of semi but new system and not the easiest of fixtures makes me think it’s worth a gamble

@fpllover123 Boring early is underrated. A solid GW1-6 base beats chasing points with WC-fatigued players from the semis. Steady rank start then you climb once others panic and burn hits. Smart approach. #FPL

I was that bored today that I built a squad which could realistically fit the budget and planned it for it to work very nicely for the first six games. So if the prices match out then it’ll be a very boring opening to #FPL for me .

@RonaldoCop30375 @nextXI_fpl Long summer either way , city don’t have good opening 6 ( plan on WC7) although similar system under a new manager . Willing to take the risk for the opening weeks . Also don’t rate odegard enough

#FPL first draft using the @nextXI_fpl app . Foccused on having playing wanting to prove a point as well as avoiding those who had long World Cup runs ( hence no England , Norway , Spain , France )

Think it’ll be BB 5/7 fixtures at start of season favour the more expensive teams

Think my only current locks going into GW1 are mbeumo , haaland and dorgu if he’s down as a defender , other big players like Gabriel , Bruno F etc could easily make it far in the tournament making them a worse asset

Bench boost 1 , wild card 6 First 5 games except Gabriel and Raya focus on players who have had longer breaks , try ignore players who got further than quarter finals and focus on fixtures

Was originally having palmer and Joao Pedro as my first 2 locks of the season but those opening fixtures have through me off . Thinking was both very good players who suit Alonsos system and have something to prove after World Cup selections and obviously had a fresh summer

That’s a rap on the 25/26 season first season taking the game seriously throughout , hopefully I can take the lessons I’ve learnt and get a higher rank next season :) - latest lesson is have at least 3 free transfers going into final day

Disaster of a GW38 had 9 players actually play … overall still my best and first season when taking the game properly so onwards and upwards … just need to roll the transfer more

Reasoning for haaland maybe not being a definite lock is because haaland plays best on the transition and that’s where he got most of his goals this season , maresca is very against this ( not flexible at all)

These are the 3 rules I’m setting for myself to try and get a much better finish for next season 1. Don’t let me being a Chelsea fan impact the decisions I make 2. Think more about wether I need to make the transfers ( basically roll more) 3. BB GW1 get the rubbish chip out
