Moyes is just history repeating…relegation threatened team before he came, now staying up is seen as success (to him) All depends on the owners now. Do they have ambition for the club? Or are they on Moyes’s wavelength?

This perfectly demonstrates the level of economic tosspotterry that is rife amongst the Green goons. Regardless of status - you are taxed at every turn. Avoid one and you will be rinsed by another. The likes of him & Polanski are thicker than a submarine door. Remove all incentives and there will be nothing there to pay benefits.

@afneil Successful people or business is being demonised by people who create nothing, build nothing and have no ambition whatsoever. They are given a platform to say all the problems in the world are the fault of millionaires & billionaires. Communism - pure & simple.

@QcWynter @GBullstein “My father was a toolmaker” line was trotted out so much he became a parody of himself. Robotic, inauthentic & incredibly unlikeable . Doesn’t help he had a barrel load of social workers and union rep’s for colleagues.

Some lawyers may make good politicians by being able to shed their legal persona and display an aptitude for discerning, shaping and reacting intelligently to the political and public mood. Keir Starmer, definitively, is not one of those lawyers.
Colin Wynter KC@QcWynter

As many predicted, it seems Starmer is going to go heavily legal & because he will face "trial" first, with Robbins in the dock next day, he has predicted Robbins' defence & given an unnamed lawyer the task of rebutting what Robbins is expected to say. All very unseemly; tawdry.

Main rate of UK Corporation Tax cut from 52% in 1983 to 19% in 2017-23, now 25%. They told us cuts would increase investment & wages. For the last 30 yrs UK at or near the bottom of the OECD investment league Real average wage unchanged since 2008. Capital and execs benefited.

@afneil Incredibly disingenuous politicians never explain how data centres can operate on renewable energy in the UK - this is apart from heavy industry. Mind you - the talent you can buy for £95k pa in the uk is only 2.5 x minimum wage now.

Everton should just retire that no.9 shirt for good. You could give us £100,000,000,000 and the pick of any striker in the world and we’d come back with a bag of crisps & Denis Stracqualursi. Cursed.

In light of the planned increases in business rates and the serious impact these changes are expected to have on the hospitality sector, I am deeply concerned about the pressure this will place on local businesses in West Derby. Pubs, cafés, restaurants, and other hospitality venues are already facing rising energy costs, higher rents, and ongoing staffing challenges. Further increases in business rates risk pushing many viable businesses to the brink, threatening jobs, livelihoods, and the vitality of our local high streets. To properly represent these concerns and raise them directly with the Government, I am asking all hospitality businesses in West Derby that will be affected by the planned business rates rises to contact my office. Hearing directly from you about how these changes will impact your business is vital in ensuring your voices are heard. Please get in touch with my office by emailing: ian.byrne.mp@parliament.uk

@tonymc39 @milkmedianewyor The city of Liverpool is self-harming by electing anything & anybody who wears a red rosette - MP’s & Mayors. All more interested in events on the other side of the world than their own constituents. Arseholes.

Venezuelans are celebrating joyously in the streets and this whopper posts this. I’m embarrassed at the standard of Liverpool MPs. It is lower than it has ever been.

@Kalan76529590 Moyes is the best in the world at downplaying expectations. He would have made a great politician. Every season - get to 40 points is always where we start. Bang average 5-4-1 PL manager.

Moyes.. "We aren't at Newcastle's level". We wasn't last season either but got the result. So like that every so called 'champions league team' we play then, that performance like yesterday is acceptable? Not sure what's more pathetic the performance or the excuse.

@v_j_freeman The model is obsolete. Pay for it if you want it. In 3-5 years, wind down the licence fee and you can subscribe if you wish. It has to end sometime, after this latest scandal, why flog a dead horse?

Being the national broadcaster confers power & privilege on those it employs, they enjoy unrivalled access to viewers, listeners & readers in UK, with that comes great responsibility to represent both the people & the truth. Too many in its employ seem to fail to recognise this.
