I say no deportation. Serve jail time in SA and once completed, then be deported: Mugabe, co-accused plead guilty to charges in attempted murder case, argue for voluntary deportation dailymaverick.co.za/article/2026-0…

A lot of misinformation from legacy media about Starlink’s entry into South Africa. Here’s the truth 👇 • ❌ “Starlink wants to bypass B-BBEE” ✅ False — it supports transformation via EEIP, a legal framework already used by companies like Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon Web Services. • ❌ “Starlink is asking for special treatment” ✅ No — it’s asking for equal rules so ALL satellite operators can compete fairly. • ❌ “EEIP is less beneficial than equity deals” ✅ Reality — Starlink’s plan would connect 5,000 rural schools with FREE high-speed internet, impacting millions of students every year. • ❌ “It won’t create local impact” ✅ It will partner with local businesses, create jobs, and boost the economy (broadband growth = GDP growth). • ❌ “It will become a monopoly” ✅ Impossible — Starlink operates globally in a competitive market across 150+ countries. • ❌ “Security & privacy risks” ✅ It will fully comply with South African laws like every other country it operates in. • ❌ “Starlink is already operating illegally” ✅ Wrong — it is NOT operating because it is still waiting for a license.

When you start looking into how fraught with corruption "land reform" has been in South Africa, you understand why ANC cadres and EFF comrades support expropriation without compensation.

Elon Musk
Elon Musk@elonmusk·
South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black! We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle. Racism should not be rewarded no matter to which race it is applied. Shame on the racist politicians in South Africa. They should be shown no respect whatsoever anywhere in the world and shunned for being unashamedly RACISTS!
DogeDesigner@cb_doge

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.” SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?

🚨 LET THIS SINK IN 🇿🇦 Dear Gayton Mackenzie, Let’s be honest for a moment… there is no successful government that can be formed in South Africa by excluding white people, just like you cannot build one by excluding Black people, Coloured people, or Indians. This country was built through struggle, sacrifice, and ultimately unity. The idea was never domination of one group over another, but coexistence and shared progress. Politics that leans on division might win applause in the short term, but it weakens the foundation of the country in the long run. South Africa’s strength lies in its diversity, economically, socially, and culturally. If you are serious about growth, stability, and real transformation, then the focus should be inclusion, not selective participation based on identity. Nation-building is not a solo project… it’s a collective responsibility. 🇿🇦Please share this until it reaches him because he blocked me🤣

I’m trying to find the statements from the Nelson Mandela Foundation, the Desmond & Leah Tutu Foundation and the Helen Suzman Foundation on the UN ruling that the human rights of the Boeremag were violated. These organizations claim to care deeply about all human rights so they must have come out with condemnations of such abuses. If anyone can direct me to where I might find these I’d be very grateful. TIA.

@Lesufi⁩ the problem with your support for BEE is that you lack credibility. For a long time BEE has only been a vehicle for the diversion of State funds through corrupt tenders allocated to the political elite, their families and connections. sundaytimes.timeslive.co.za/opinion-and-an…

Truly mysterious how local politics works. Is this not the very same Nkululeko Dunga who was fired as Ekurhuleni Finance MMC by ANC Mayor Xhakaza in 2024 who now lands the whole Gauteng Finance MEC job? Did I miss the part where his track record suddenly improved, or is “coalition politics” a new qualification on its own? The one area that needs critical focus in Gauteng right now, as literally everyone knows, is the judicious allocation of funds to fix infrastructure. Will this help fix Gauteng? How will his R179 billion budget be allocated?
