Through all of my midterm election coverage in 2025 and 2026, I have noticed a pattern. 2026 is turning out to be the Rand Paul and Koch Network Revenge Tour Against MAGA. This is their last chance to fully undermine President Trump, and they are taking full advantage of that. One place this is especially evident this election season is in Kentucky, where the GOP primary election is scheduled to take place on May 19th, 2026. Meet Republican Congressional Candidate Ralph Alvarado, a Disciple of Trump-Hater Rand Paul running for US Congress in @barrforsenate Andy Barr’s seat, KY-6. There is a primary. Andy Barr’s campaign for the United States Senate has opened up the solid Republican seat in Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District. It seems the Rand Paul-Thomas Massie political machine in Kentucky is attempting to fill this open seat in Congress with one of their own. Ralph Alvarado @AlvaradoForKY is a current candidate for Kentucky-6 and a staunch Rand Paul @RandPaul acolyte. On April 7, 2015, Alvarado spoke at Rand Paul’s 2016 presidential announcement when Rand Paul ran against Donald Trump in the primary. During his speech, Alvarado praised Paul as a man of principle while also saying Paul would be committed to diversity: “You can imagine what went through my head when I was asked to introduce the next President of the United States… Rand Paul… It is time for us to elect a man of principle… With Rand Paul in the White House, all Americans will know what real leadership is about. It is time for Dr. Rand Paul to lead us. We need a leader who will embrace diversity… It is time for principled leadership. It is time for President Rand Paul.” President Trump has long said politicians always go back to their original ways. So with this in mind, Alvarado will always be a Paul supporter.
