@TheMarketDog TACO in a defacto defeat. Let Iran control the strait at their terms. Proclaim victory for making a deal: "Europe and China, they begged me to make a deal." Only alternative is a lengthy ground war. While a lot points towards the later, I think it's a toss-up, maybe 60-40

@c1c2c3c4c @gharleydude @vincempls @Bull286017288 Calling it a Biden PR move probably means you don't believe that. I just want people to name specific cases that they're worried about and what it is that makes them bad. We need to be on the same planet if we're to have a hope of living peacefully together.

March 1933 The Enabling Act becomes law in Germany, giving the chief executive power enforce his own laws without checks and balances. The passing of the Act marked the formal transition from democratic republic to totalitarian dictatorship. 6 months later, it was a 1 party state

Astonishing heat for this early in the year. Hundreds of temperature records are being broken in China 🇨🇳 Beijing records +27.9°C, which is over 5°C warmer than the early March record.

@MagikBoomStudio @ThomBradley8 @ScottDuncanWX The question you should be asking is not: Does earth balance climate? But: on what time scale does earth climate typically change and if there is a major change on human timescales what does it imply for the future of humanity.

@WifeyAlpha I think, some people on fintwit don't know how to trade cautiously. Precisely BECAUSE you were right literally ALL the time, they probably jumped into some trade with leverage and lost a lot of money. Not your fault, I appreciate your advice and I'm clearly not the only one.

@The_5hadow @WifeyAlpha As a german: this. IIRC the first one was/is typically used if they show sun/rain/cloudy areas afterwards. Also nobody here considers 28°C in June a sign for climate change. What we consider a sign for climate change: the 11 hottest years on record were all between 1991-2020.

@WifeyAlpha As newbie, good example of thought process might be start of QT on 6/1: Holding longs 💭"QT is priced in for sure." Market drops at open. 💭 "oh shit, maybe it wasn't priced in fully" Sell longs. Market recovers. 💁‍♂️ Just learning with that money. Most is in cash, some in 🦔🐷

@KingKong9888 This column today in a major german newspaper recommends buying a flat if you don't like stocks to "preserve your capital from inflation." 👀Her example friend bought a 400k flat taking 50% as a credit. What could possibly go wrong? zeit.de/wirtschaft/gel…

@WifeyAlpha Why aren’t we going 100% long equities if this is a bear market rally? You can make a lot of money quickly that way

@WifeyAlpha @RealAlphaWifey Two mice talk to each other. One goes excitedly: "I have a new boyfriend, here want to see a picture?" The other: "Wait, that's not a mouse, that's a bat!" "Oh, how vile :( He told me, he was a pilot"

To put things into perspective: The current #Cryptocrash is nothing unusual in historical terms. #Bitcoin has now lost 61% from its peak. In 2020, the correction was around 80%.

@pmyer8 @RetirementRight Disclaimer: No idea about crypto or its intrinsic value. I just never believed in it (to me it's a Ponzi). I just know a thing or two about psychology. LUNA has created fear and I don't think bitcoin would survive a tether crash anywhere close to current evaluations.

@pmyer8 @RetirementRight I'm not so sure about it this time. Depends on whether you believe the average crypto holder trusts the process after LUNA crash and Tether depeg. We might see a "bankrun".

@RetirementRight "Immeasurable" is not a word I just made up. Saw it in some reddit forum, where people were promised that everyone would get rich - even if you just have 1 share... (Sound's like a religion to me.) I am not sure you can expect rational behavior... for sure it's not pricebound.

@RetirementRight Well, it's like a religion but instead of e.g. heaven you have "immeasurable wealth" as a promise for enduring through the hardship. Hypothesis: the people that can somehow afford it (sadly, some probably already can't) will hold basically forever unless they lose their faith.
