As a result of these days, we see clear support from Europe. Even more unity, even more willingness to cooperate. Everyone is united on the main issue – for peace to be real, we need real security guarantees. And this is the position of all of Europe – the entire continent. The United Kingdom, the European Union, Türkiye. Of course, we understand the importance of America, and we are grateful for all the support we’ve received from the United States. There has not been a day when we haven’t felt gratitude. It’s gratitude for the preservation of our independence – our resilience in Ukraine is based on what our partners are doing for us – and for their own security. What we need is peace, not endless war. And that’s why we say security guarantees are the key to this.

We must meet this moment together. To guarantee the best outcome for Ukraine. To protect European security. And to secure our collective future.

Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.

1000 days together 1000 days of Ukraine 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

Russia is once again terrorizing Kharkiv, striking civilian infrastructure and the city itself. As of now, there are over 30 wounded. All necessary forces have been deployed for the rescue operation. But to stop this terror, all necessary global forces must be mobilized. What’s required isn’t extraordinary effort, but the sufficient courage of leaders – the courage to give Ukraine everything it needs to defend itself.

Russia has once again brutally attacked Kharkiv today. As of now, there are nearly fifty injured. Rescuers continue to clear the debris, with reports of people trapped underneath. Ordinary civilian targets—shopping center, sports palace, urban areas. Every such strike on Kharkiv and our other cities and towns proves the correctness of our tactics, particularly in the Kursk region—we must push the war back to where it came from, into Russia. And not just in the border areas. The terrorist state must feel what war truly is. I’m grateful to our foreign affairs team, which is convincing our partners that long-range capabilities are key to ending this war. With our drones and missiles, we can accomplish part of the mission. But true peace—true end of this war—is a comprehensive task. To force Russia into peace—to move them from deceitful rhetoric about negotiations to actual steps to end the war, to cleanse our land of occupation and occupiers—effective tools are needed. I know that in these days and weeks, our friends around the world, journalists spreading the truth about this war, and many state leaders, public leaders, and politicians are emphasizing how vital it is to bring peace closer and save lives by allowing long-range strikes and providing the appropriate long-range missiles and shells. This depends on President Biden, Prime Minister Starmer, President Macron, Chancellor Scholz, and others. I thank everyone persuading the world to be strong and finally defeat Russian terror. No Russian missile, no Russian strike should go without a just respond—respond with weapons, sanctions, the right policies, economic support for Ukraine, and justice for Russia.

It is entirely justified for Ukrainians to respond to Russian terror by any means necessary to stop it. Every day and night, our cities and villages endure enemy attacks. Just in the past week, Russia has launched over 160 missiles of various types, 780 guided aerial bombs, and 400 strike UAVs of different kinds against our people. To fully protect and safeguard our cities from this aggression, we need greater support for Ukraine’s rightful response. This includes decisions to carry out long-range strikes on Russia’s missile launch sites, destroy Russian military logistics, and conduct joint efforts to shoot down missiles and drones – everything that will help us resist Russian evil.

Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @KamalaHarris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support. At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November. We hope you’ll join us.

Today, I hosted @SecBlinken for a detailed discussion of the battlefield situation, support for our soldiers, and ongoing defense cooperation. We discussed the need for Patriot systems in Ukraine to protect our cities and communities, such as Kharkiv and the surrounding region. Two Patriots for the Kharkiv region could significantly contribute to the protection of lives from Russian terror. We also talked about preparations for the Global Peace Summit. It is important for us that the United States and President Biden participate and that America's role in maintaining rules-based international order does not weaken. I am grateful to the American people, the United States Congress, and President Biden and his team for their support in our fight for freedom and independence. We appreciate the United States' decision to continue its support for Ukraine, and we discussed how to best implement the announced aid packages and get weapons into the hands of our warriors as soon as possible.

Ukraine needs further timely defense assistance - precisely the kind that can thwart Russia's revenge plan for this year - their offensive plan. The European Parliament’s position remains significant to ensure that all of our agreements in Europe regarding defense and shared strength are practically implemented. We need further principled political support both for Ukraine and for the entire project of a united Europe, which is the European Union. No European nation that shares and defends common European values should be left out of European unity. In Ukraine, we have met all of the necessary conditions for the adoption of the negotiating framework in June of this year, as previously agreed, and the actual start of Ukraine's EU accession talks. It is equally important for European unity to practically work for other nations that deserve to join the EU to also fulfil their candidate status. Balkan nations and Moldova are part of Europe, and I am also confident that there will be Europe Days for Georgia and Belarus. All of this is already reflected in the positions of the European Parliament, and it is really important that they are implemented.

The world slept through the rebirth of Nazism at 5 a.m. on February 24, 2022. And today, everyone who remembers World War II and has survived to this day feels a sense of déjà vu. The Battle of Kyiv, the bombings of Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipro, mass graves, child deportations, filtration camps, and colonies for captives. Russia has brought pages from World War II textbooks back into the global media spotlight, demonstrating that Nazism has resurfaced with each new crime. This time, it simply has a new label: "Made in Russia." And, as in 1945, only a united free world—united in the Anti-Putin Coalition—can stop the Moscow Nazis through action rather than words. Such a world can keep the new evil from spreading across the entire European continent, and eventually the entire world. Such a world is capable of demonstrating its commitment to the words "Never again!" so that they become relevant again.
