Ok, you’re right, I’ve just redone the maths I was off by some margin: I borrowed around £40k for uni. By the time I graduated, interest had pushed it to ~£45.5k. By the time repayments started, it was closer to ~£48k. I’ve paid roughly £40k back. Current balance: £32k. Estimated Plan 2 repayments by tax year: Tax year Earnings Threshold Paid 2019/20 £45,000 £25,725 £1,735 2020/21 £55,000 £26,575 £2,558 2021/22 £63,333 £27,295 £3,243 2022/23 £85,000 £27,295 £5,193 2023/24 £125,000 £27,295 £8,793 2024/25 £129,400 £27,295 £9,189 2025/26 £137,700 £28,470 £9,831 Estimated paid so far: ~£40,543 Current balance: £32,000 And now I’m on £117k + 35% bonus. That’s total comp of ~£158k. At that income, I’ll repay around: £11,571 per year ~£964 per month on average I’ll likely pay another ~£35k before the loan is cleared. Total lifetime repayment: ~£75k. Borrowed £40k. Paid back £75k.

গর্টন আর ডেন্টন আমরা সবাই মিলে তৈরি করেছি। আর আমাদের সবার এখানে থাকার অধিকার আছে। 'Gorton and Denton was built by all of us, and we all deserve to belong' এই বৃহস্পতিবার শুধুমাত্র গ্রীন পার্টিকে ভোট দিয়েই রিফর্মের হিংসাত্মক রাজনীতিকে হারানো যেতে পারে। Only a Green vote can defeat Reform's hate this Thursday.

I don’t know why it took me this long but I finally understand why some people find men who have a cat(s) to be incredibly sexy. There’s just something different about it compared to a man having a dog (which is also great!)
