The capitulation of the Government to junior doctors and train drivers (amongst others) will bring short-term gain and long-term pain - especially for taxpayers. Every trade union now knows Labour is weak, weak, weak when it comes to negotiating pay.

It increasingly looks like the Conservative party manufactured industrial disputes in the public sector which impoverished millions, and was also used as a tool for a culture war - shame on them
