If you have tried the Codex App, but don't use it as a daily driver yet: What needs to improve to make it the primary place you work with coding agents?

Love how Codex asks me which version I want and then just… doesn't wait for my answer. The confidence is inspiring @thsottiaux

@thsottiaux @yacineMTB @thsottiaux I'm hitting a hard context limit and the session is dead. It won't auto-compact, and I can't manually compact. Is there a way to force a compaction without restarting from scratch?

@thsottiaux Asked Codex to "improve" a page and it just... did. +195 -5 lines changed, no questions asked. Claude asked what I meant first. Small thing but makes a big difference.

Codex team is working on a few experimental projects that are starting to shape up and I’m excited to share more about soon. But I’m curious, what would you like to see ship or improved by the end of the year other than better models?

We're extending our free usage credits for Claude Code on the web, and they'll now expire on November 22 11:59 PM PT. We heard your feedback that Claude Code on the web would occasionally hang. We’ve landed several reliability improvements over the past two weeks to address this, and are continuing to work on it. Let us know how it's working for you!

We're giving Pro and Max users free usage credits for Claude Code on the web. Since launching, your feedback has been invaluable for improving Claude Code. We’re temporarily adding free usage so you can more flexibly experiment with the product.

@sama Since GPT-4.5 was removed from Plus entirely, could Plus users get a few GPT-5 Pro prompts each month?

Updates to ChatGPT: You can now choose between “Auto”, “Fast”, and “Thinking” for GPT-5. Most users will want Auto, but the additional control will be useful for some people. Rate limits are now 3,000 messages/week with GPT-5 Thinking, and then extra capacity on GPT-5 Thinking mini after that limit. Context limit for GPT-5 Thinking is 196k tokens. We may have to update rate limits over time depending on usage. 4o is back in the model picker for all paid users by default. If we ever do deprecate it, we will give plenty of notice. Paid users also now have a “Show additional models” toggle in ChatGPT web settings which will add models like o3, 4.1, and GPT-5 Thinking mini. 4.5 is only available to Pro users—it costs a lot of GPUs. We are working on an update to GPT-5’s personality which should feel warmer than the current personality but not as annoying (to most users) as GPT-4o. However, one learning for us from the past few days is we really just need to get to a world with more per-user customization of model personality.

Just made the huge mistake of watching the much-celebrated “Conclave” & it is the most disgusting anti-Catholic film I have seen in a long time. Shame on Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci & John Lithgow for starring in it & shame on director Edward Berger (among others). “Spoiler:” They make THE POPE INTERSEX! This is the big exciting twist at the end. I wish I had known so I wouldn’t have watched it. There are almost no redeeming characters in the movie - every cardinal is morally bankrupt/repulsive. The only exception of course is the intersex pope (who - surprise! - has female reproductive parts) & the cardinal who keeps her secret - bc of course that kind of Catholic secret-keeping must be lionized. I’m disgusted. What a thing to release to streaming just in time for Christmas. They would never do this to Muslims, but Christians/Catholics are always fair game to mock/belittle/smear.

I appreciate mornings more as I get older. Getting things done early is a great way to start your day and feel productive and positive. This morning I was able to finish errands, bake a loaf of bread, play with my son and drop him off at daycare all before work. It’s a good day!
