New Episode: From a masterclass to multiple fully funded PhD offers at Johns Hopkins, Oxford, NYU, and WashU. In this episode, I sat down with a mentee, who was one of the members of our Graduate School Application Masterclass cohort. We talk about his journey from medical doctor in Uganda to PhD student at Johns Hopkins. He received multiple fully funded PhD offers from Johns Hopkins, Oxford, NYU, and WashU. In our conversation, we unpack: ➤ how he approached his applications ➤ the strategies that helped him stand out ➤ how he prepared for interviews ➤ how he evaluated multiple offers ➤ what students can learn from his journey —— One lesson from this conversation Strong applications are rarely built at the last minute. They come from clear thinking, steady preparation, and consistent effort over time. If you are planning to apply for a master’s or PhD, especially as an international student, this episode is worth watching. Watch the full episode here: Link in the comments section. MakSPH and Partners Launch Research Project on Africa’s Health Workforce Employment Paradox Yesterday, @Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH), together with partners from @LSHTM, @UnzaOfficial, and @unn_tweets, launched the research project “Not enough and too many: Professional personhood among Africa’s paradoxically surplus health workers.” The five-year study, supported by the @wellcometrust, focuses on a documented challenge across several African health systems where trained health professionals remain unemployed or underemployed even as countries continue to experience shortages of frontline health workers.

Chelsea and Arsenal are in the top five even though between them they haven't won a single Champions League title in the last ten years... This is the ultimate proof that market value does not buy pedigree. The Premier League is just a speculative bubble where average players are overpaid. Real Madrid stands alone at the top.
