@saharhariri03 I help promote the event. I support the community. I show up consistently. That’s the value. If the Black queer organizers themselves had an issue with me being there, I wouldn’t be there. It’s really that simple.

Deviant feels like family to me because every time I’m around them, I feel welcomed and safe. As an Asian man who was raised in a Black community, these spaces feel natural to me.
