@fredpessaro @creemmag Not sure I'd agree about EC who has some good riffs in the 60s & 1-2 on From the Cradle. That said, I'm a songwriter, and I write songs that are inspired by a new RIFF I come up with, or, like Townshend and a couple others, a chord-based "riff" ... not too much into "strumming."

Who's more of a riff coward? Eric Clapton or literally anyone in Indie Rock
