I’m sad for our country tonight. Too much pain and heartache and anger and resentment and racism. We must be better. We need more kindness and empathy. We need to listen to understand. We must get proximate. We need mercy. I know I don’t have the right words, but I feel this:

Hug your kids. Teach them to love others. Teach them to be people of goodwill. Teach them to show goodwill toward every person they meet, regardless of their background or the color of their skin. Teach them to reach for justice whenever justice is within their reach.

Our amazing secretary, Trinda Burdett, received the Customer Service Award for the YEAR from the Granite Association of Educational Office Professionals (GAEOP). We appreciate everything she does for our district! (socially-distanced group photo included)
