You're right for the culture side but the power that comes out of it diminished greatly imo
One of the reasons is that people now understand, thanks to the internet, that living in the US isn't that great for the average Joe, and the movies aren't yelling "USA is the greatest nation on earth" as they used to

I don't think Americans can comprehend how their soft power has declined in the last 15 years.
Growing up in France, America was the pinnacle of cool. Sitcoms, Hollywood, Silicon Valley. The culture did the work. You didn't need propaganda.
Every ambitious French kid watching American TV was a future customer, ally, or immigrant adding value to the US economy.
This era has officially ended.

I’ve been asked to comment on another DeFi 1.0 founder buying a mansion. I’ll keep it lean:
1) The co-founder of the largest onchain dapp has every right to be rich. That money wasn’t stolen, it was earned.
2) I’m against doxxing. Whatever my opinion on recent behavior and actions, they and their family deserve peace offchain. In an era of crypto kidnappings and growing violence in Europe, publicly pointing out this kind of information for a few likes isn’t great. We can do better.
