Yo he consumido 20€.

@0DALNIM0 See, here's the thing: if that's what they use in America, then freaking let them! And this is coming from a country that uses metric. Whatever happened to "be yourself" and "argumentum ad populum"?

This is a bad take. Astrology ought to be a non starter, unless you are being facetious about it. Taking astrology seriously suggests that you are epistemically broken. Possibly scientifically illiterate.

The question is kind of pointless. If light had traveled any slower or faster, you could have asked the same question. There is nothing special about 3 x 10^8 m/s. It comes out to this specific number because of our choice of units. It comes out to different numbers based on how we choose to quantify it. In fact, for cosmological calculations we consider the speed of light to be 1. The important bit to understand and remember is that the speed of light in vaccum is constant regardless of the frame of reference. Why is it a constant though? You see empty space has built in electrical and magnetic properties. And the speed of light is a direct function of those properties. Why is it a constant with respect to all inertia frames? That is where special relativity comes in. If it were not constant and depended on the speed of the observer, the chain of causality would break. If signals could propagate at different speeds for different observers, events could occur in different orders, breaking causality. Well then that leads to a deeper question: Why does the universe bother to preserve the chain of causality? Or is it merely unintended consequence which has shaped our understanding of causality? No one knows. It is entirely possible there is a universe out there where the concept of causality doesn’t exist. Physics truly takes us to the most fascinating of places.

@_ayetigbo @aires_romulo @mayukh_panja When we talk about fundamentals, at some point "why" stops having meaning. Just like "why gravity bends space?" It just does, we can expand in what is that bending and how, but I'm not sure why has any meaning in that context.

@ChrisGloninger The focus on CO2 is the misdirection. Imagine thinking that what plants breath and use to creat oxygen is a poison. So absurd. Even NASA admits that our earth, even with all the cultivation, is greener today than the recent past. More CO2 is a good thing!

The "only 3%" argument is a classic misdirection. Natural CO₂ IN and OUT were roughly balanced for millennia. That's why pre-industrial CO₂ held steady at ~280 ppm for thousands of years. Then humans added a NET new source. Your bathtub doesn't overflow because of the water already in it. It overflows because you turned on the tap. The 97% argument answers itself, Professor.
Wide Awake Media@wideawake_media

Geologist Prof. Ian Plimer: "There is no climate emergency... It is a con. It's not underpinned by science." "It has never been proven that human emissions of CO₂ drive global warming." "Only 3% of emissions are from humans, the rest is natural... So if you're to prove that humans, and their emissions of the the gas of life, change climate, then you also have to prove that the natural emissions—97% of all emissions—don't change climate." "That has never been addressed."

@JamesLee1060363 @DeivonDrago But the thing is that when you are saying "people affected" is not a fact. Thats a causal claim. People behaving in a way or another can be an observable fact. The claim that it is due to planetary movements is a causal claim. You need to establish that causal mechanism.

@friki_inside @DeivonDrago No. You don’t know the cause of it being red, you just observe it is. You don’t know why people are affected, you just observe they are. The fact that it is red is not the cause of it being red.

@AlfBob451728 @Las2DSonMejores @MaximeDesr93160 @DeivonDrago Well, no I wouldn't call it a fact. Which the most validat3d and cross confirm theories one could argue that is a fact in a practical sense. But a theory us an explanation, not a fact. The evidence supporting those theories are facts. But a theory cannot be a fact by definition.

@JamesLee1060363 @DeivonDrago No, the correct analogy would to state the cause of it being red. The fact is that is red. Maybe someone dyed, maybe is a quimical reaction. Facts dont need causal link. Causal claims in other hand....
