@weekendsofsound Not a huge Javier Vazquez fan, he was an epic bust in NY, but isn’t it wild that he never even made it on the Hall ballot. These numbers deserve an arbitrary debut at least, right?

@weekendsofsound Deserved a much longer look. A heck of a peak overshadowed by the era in which he played, but he started flaming out at 34 and was pretty much done by 36. Ultimately Hall of Very Good, but he’s one of my guys for life.

@weekendsofsound Speaking of Mussina, it’s kinda nuts that he lingered on the ballot for so long. He only received 20% of the freakin vote on his 1st ballot in 2014. Lack of hardware sure. But these are first ballot numbers, right? (not necessarily a knock on Glavine)
