@TallNSterile i’ll be here until august 8! i have to stay in escondido though cause i’m working at the safari park but i’m hoping to visit san diego, i did not realize how far escondido was from san diego until like a week before coming here i’m mildly disturbed

➡️ DRUSKI IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS AND INCONSISTENT APPETITE DUE TO FAS- She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. She has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation along with inconsistent appetite means DRUSKI will not be given much time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
A volunteer writes: It's possible that, at two years old, Druski is just now learning about people, but, even so, has admirably defined preferences. We bring her food, snacks, and toys, put on bubble shows and play soft music, but we also do things like occasionally try to pet her. The latter of which she says absolutely not, no thank you. Druski was brought to us with many other cats, but we don't know too much else about her history. While at first Druski would permit us to pet her a little, she did so reluctantly and in conversation. For Druski's part this meant puffing her tail and looking to hide, communicating that she wasn't a fan. Unfortunately shelter life has not been easy on this gentle hearted kitty who has continued to talk with us and share a number of ideas, suggestions, and, of course, complaints. While time can ease adjustments for some, it seems to have brought Druski further into her shell. We're all still hopeful, however, that someone can find space in their home and heart for a kitty who needs a little extra patience and a whole lot of extra love. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻
