@BengalScoutJoel Ample range, plus physicality, capable (not great) coverage. Overall, he's an average sized, slightly above average athlete. He's that high-IQ, reliable LB prospect, who will wind up outplaying at least some of "more talented" players at the position. A safe LB bet, imo.

CJ Allen is the first prospect I just don't get in this class. He has impressive, sometimes shocking acceleration but what else does he do well? That's not enough for me

@Marcus_Mosher Many of this draft’s top players play positions least valued by NFL teams. Taking RBs, LBs, Safeties this high kills monetary flexibility of teams who ignore this economic reality. Why teams more often prefer the $ discount, and take lesser talents at more valuable positions.

NFL Network continues to beat the "fastest at the ___ position group(s) at the Combine ever" drum. This largely results from slower players opting out of running the 40 at the Combine. More about the sample you're averaging than about players getting faster overall.

Good for Javonte Williams. Just two months away from his 26th birthday, there may be another contract yet in his future. Teams value what he brings as a pass protector, and he definitely seemed to get back some of the pre-injury juice in 2025.
