What if you could trade options directly on Bitcoin. No bridges, no L2, just L1? That's what we're building, made possible via Opnet

We raised $5M to build the infrastructure Bitcoin was missing. Smart contracts on Bitcoin L1. The programmable Bitcoin era starts with OP_NET.

wait....lending bitcoin is a monetary usecase for bitcoin? So defi usecases of Bitcoin are also monetary? So OP_NET is NOT ruining BTC...............

Bitcoin is sound money. Money doesn't exclusively mean 'i pay for bananas'. I can do a lot with my money; I can buy assets, lend it, borrow against it, swap it for other money, insure it, escrow it, earn yield on it, fractionalize ownership of things with it. If decentralized money can't do these things in a decentralized way, it's not "money" at all. OP_NET is not adding unnecessary use cases to Bitcoin, it's allowing Bitcoin to do what money was always supposed to do. Bitcoin is freedom. OP_NET just adds to it.
