The great Croatian scientist Nikola Tesla was born today!!
Born in the Croatian Military Frontier, where Nikola spent the most important, formative years of his life, he can mostly credit the school he attended for his later success. It was there that he perfected his native Croatian language and met his professor, Martin Sekulić—a Croatian physicist and innovator who sparked Tesla's passion for physics through his original and engaging experiments. Tesla himself stated that Sekulić was the most important figure in his education.
His male ancestors were the Draganić family, a lineage that existed exclusively as Croatian in the 14th and 15th centuries. They were nobles, poets, and mostly intellectuals, whose genetics Nikola obviously inherited. Later, one member of the Draganić family changed both his religion and his surname to Tesla. Because of this conversion to Eastern Orthodoxy, he is nowadays claimed by Greeks, Russians, Bulgarians and even Serbs, who put forward the false thesis that the Draganić family originates from the Banjani tribe. However, even this myth of theirs has been disproven by genetics, as Tesla's haplogroup is completely non-existent there.
But regardless of the fact that he was a Croat, other countries also influenced his development, such as Austria and the Czech Republic, where he studied, as well as Hungary, which inspired him for his very important and first invention.
During his stay in Budapest, Hungary, between 1881 and 1882, Nikola Tesla made his historically most important discovery—the rotating magnetic field—and invented a voice amplifier (telephone amplifier)
Therefore, if Tesla is considered an American because he arrived there and created inventions, then he is also Hungarian, Austrian, and Czech, since he was already an inventor before he ever came to America.
Although today's propaganda forces his Eastern Orthodoxy, he distanced himself from it greatly, because, after all, Croats are not exactly Eastern Orthodox
In an interview for Liberty magazine, in the article 'A Machine to End War', Nikola Tesla explained how he had moved away from Orthodox religion and was a great proponent of eugenics, like many based Croats were in that time.
So the great Nikola Tesla, a Croat Draganić by lineage, but equally an Austrian, Czech, Hungarian, American, and by the Orthodox faith of his father, a Russian, Bulgarian, Greek, Czech, Ukrainian, and Serb (where he spent even just one day of his life, in Belgrade, and refused to shake hands with anyone).
The whole world is proud of you. 🙂🙂

Tonight, during the #EuropaLeague qualifier between Vojvodina 🇷🇸 and Ferencvaros 🇭🇺 Hungarian fans displayed a "Greater Hungary" flag, that include parts of Serbia. This is particularly disappointing given that the Hungarian minority in Serbia enjoys extensive minority rights, including education, media, and official use of their language in many municipalities.
