My view: People are losing sight of the most important development in this new model: It's positioning relative to the President's office. This feels like a more centralized model which is VERY different from the norm & isn't bad for those of you who want the AD to be more focal.

@gocougs123 Everything was really bad last season. Coaching, recruiting, performance, all really bad. Glass and Vavers only real players on that team. A lot has to change. I would hire Herb Sendek from Santa Clara, seasoned pro, success everywhere he has been.

Thought on David Riley reportedly returning for year 3: • I thought the process last offseason was good. Guys unfortunately didn’t pan out • Need a true 7 footer • Needs to overhaul the staff • Will need more NIL support • Keeping Ace Glass would be huge

The ONLY way I think this works is significant change in investment in all other areas of the program. I also think it would be smart for Riley to shake up his staff. His buyout drops this summer, so he will be on a short leash

The reaction to Chelsea beating Wrexham has been genuinely bizarre. You’ve got professional pundits and fans openly calling for VAR to be scrapped, even though it intervened correctly on two occasions simply because it denied them the romantic outcome they wanted. We scream for VAR when it makes huge mistakes, but when it gets decisions right and the team people wanted to win doesn’t, suddenly the system is the problem. That kind of selective outrage is pure madness.

Look at how many players Kyle Smith had to replace his final year. I think he replaced 4/5 starters and almost won the pac12 with an Idaho transfer, d2 player etc…

Coug Baseball off to a 5-6 start. On the road , I think that is a super positive trend. Three of their losses could have easily been wins, vs Cal Poly 2-3 in Extras and 4-6, 4-5 vs BYU. If they get back to Pullman .500 they are in great shape for a tournament run

Look people are critical of Riley and I get it so I’m not here to debate that tonight. Outside of the 2nd GU game these guys absolutely fought their ass off despite not having a good record. Gut punch after gut punch. Wanted for them so badly to get a big win.
