tbh I’m really glad we’re starting to explore darker fantasies more and more. fiction is one of the few spaces where women can engage with those ideas in a safe way. there are things I’d never want in reality - or that would be hard for me to find someone I trust enough to explore with - but that I still find compelling in a fictional context where I can engage with them without any risk having fantasies like that isn’t something shameful - I actually find it kind of misogynistic to frame it that way. it plays into the idea that women’s sexuality has to be somewhat pure and controlled, while men are rarely judged the same way for their fantasies. it’s also easy to notice that more submissive fantasies get singled out more, and I think some people need to ask themselves why - is it because you see women who aren’t in a leading position as weaker or less worthy of respect? it’s sad to see women doing this to other women, especially when in real life we already have to stay alert all the time. let us let go with fictional men that we know won’t hurt us and it doesn’t take away from the sweeter, more romantic aspects of the game either - it can all coexist just fine

I just love how God of Tides and Lemurian Sea God's story connects and how these myths describes Rafayel growing up

that innocent sweetness from his younger self is nostalgic when you see Sea God's more mature demeanor. I always think Sea God is a bit more unrestrained from his god role than God of Tides, but Sea God is also a person who has lost more significant things than God of Tides😭
