I believe the scriptures tell us that God hates those who are not grateful. Sometimes it is hard when we look at what is happening to us. But, there is always somebody worse off.

We are taught of the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea, but we hear near to nothing of the parting of the river Jordan. Maybe because it is not a grand miracle as the parting of the Red Sea, but it is still a miracle.

They weren't very good spies if the king knew who they were.

In Joshua Chapter 2 we read about two of the children of Israel go into Jericho to spy out what they may face.
We also read about a harlot (a lady of the night-a prostitute) who helps hide the two men from the king. Her name is Rahab.

And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us will we do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.
We learn in this chapter that the children of Israel are a righteous people. They are willing to follow the Prophet of the Lord.
