@FraserSport1 An Anglo Welsh league will never happen unless the WRU are able to buy a Prem franchise or 3. But that will cause the current Irish/Welsh/Scots/Italy/Saffer league to fail.

SA teams have added new dimensions to URC. But 6,603 for Bulls v Cardiff (52,000 stadium). Travel costs+lack of atmosphere harms appeal, and commercial value, of league. In Wales, PYS under half-full. Anglo-Welsh league a distant proposition but clamour for it is justified.

Welsh Labour have promised £4bn for hospitals in Wales if they win the Senedd election. We took a look at the figures and there are serious questions about the offer... What are they offering? Welsh Labour say £4bn in the next 10 years will be spent on: - A brand new University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff - A redevelopment of Wrexham Maelor Hospital - A new hospital in West Wales We asked Welsh Labour some questions about this: - How much will be spent on each development? - What will happen with Wales’ maintenance backlog for its hospitals estate? - Will the money come from borrowing and what will be the cost? When we asked whether this £4bn would also be used to tackle the £1.5bn ish maintenance backlog Welsh Labour told us: “Our Hospitals of the Future Fund will help to address that maintenance backlog, including by building new hospitals in North, South and West Wales. We will continue working with Health Boards to address capital maintenance pressures.” Hmm, ok... So we then asked them for a breakdown on how much of the £4bn would be spent on each of the new hospitals as well as the maintenance backlog. They said: “We have announced a £4bn Hospitals of the Future Fund to support the development of these hospitals. A more detailed breakdown of funding for each project will be available as each scheme is developed.” So no costings at all... Let’s sum all that up: - Welsh Labour will be using this £4bn to both build/redevelop three hospitals AND fix the £1.5bn maintenance backlog. - It can cost around £2bn to build a large hospital (as a loose figure) - building three with this money seems incredibly ambitious. - If you are going to promise three new developments is it too much to ask that you have at least a rough idea how much each will cost? - Without even ball park figures, it seems hard to see this as as anything other than a series of numbers plucked from the ether. If you like this sort of analysis sign up using the link in my pinned tweet.

There are many false claims in this letter but let me address one specifically: that "Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation."   This is the same false claim that Democrats and some in the liberal media have been repeating over and over.   As President Trump has clearly and explicitly stated, he had strong and compelling evidence that Iran was going to attack the United States first.   This evidence was compiled from many sources and factors. President Trump would never make the decision to deploy military assets against a foreign adversary in a vacuum.   Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. The Iranian regime is evil. It proudly killed Americans, waged war against our country, and openly threatened us all the way up to the launch of Operation Epic Fury.   Iran was aggressively expanding their short-range ballistic missiles to combine with their naval assets to give themselves immunity – meaning they would have a degree of a capabilities that would give them immunity to hold us and the rest of the world hostage.   The regime aimed to use those ballistic missiles as a shield to continue achieving their ultimate goal – nuclear weapons.   The President, through his top negotiators, gave the regime every single possible opportunity to abandon this unacceptable course by permanently giving up their nuclear ambitions in exchange for sanctions relief, free nuclear fuel, and potential economic partnerships with our country.   But they would not say yes to peace because obtaining nuclear weapons was their fundamental goal.   President Trump ultimately made the determination that a joint attack with Israel would greatly reduce the risk to American lives that would come from a first strike by the terrorist Iranian regime and address this imminent threat to America’s national security interests.   All of this led to President Trump arriving at the determination that this military operation was necessary for U.S. national security, which is why he launched the massively successful Operation Epic Fury. The Commander-in-Chief determines what does and does not constitute a threat, because he is the one constitutionally empowered to do so - and because the American people went to the ballot box and entrusted him and him alone to make such final judgments. And finally, the absurd allegation that President Trump made this decision based on the influence of others, even foreign countries, is both insulting and laughable. President Trump has been remarkably consistent and has said for DECADES that Iran can NEVER possess a nuclear weapon. As someone who actually witnesses President Trump’s decision-making process on a daily basis, I can attest to the fact that he is always looking to do what’s in the best interest of the United States of America — period. America First.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

An historic day in the Senedd with the passing of the British Sign Language (Wales) Bill. This is a really progressive piece of legislation that recognises and respects BSL and will help Deaf BSL signers to access public services.

This story by Ben James is behind a small paywall, but it's fascinating. Large group of influential people including key man at Principality, WRU sponsors (!) have had enough of WRU bungling and are holding them to account. They would keep four sides, and quite rightly. Have spoken to Rob Regan, the figurehead. He is inspirational
