I make art because I love the process of creating.

It's Throwback Thursday. 2021 — the fastest animal on earth, cheap colored pencils, and 30 minutes to catch it. I didn't. But I had a blast trying.

It's Wishful Wednesday. Readers have decided it's okay to put down bad books. I say it's time to take down bad art. It's okay. Blame it on a shopping haze. The next day you woke up with a stranger lurking on your wall. No shame. So what should you replace that art with?

I see spilled paint. What do you see? A candle? It's abstract artwork, so there are no wrong answers.

Big sky, small canvas. Sometimes 2.5×3.5 inches is all the space you need to breathe.

Roll for creativity. Every session starts somewhere — this one started with a handful of dice and a red background that refused to be ignored.

Chaos in two colors. Sometimes you just let the paint decide.

It's Throwback Thursday. 2021 — a postcard, some cheap colored pencils, and a panda who had nowhere to be. Neither did I for about 15 minutes. Pure joy.

It's Wishful Wednesday. Is your art not into you? Has it been giving you the silent treatment? What kind of art truly speaks your language?

Okay I've been hoarding. I admit it. But good news — not everything lives in the vault. Shop is open, ACEOs start at $9.99. Go here to find one you like... artbyfredtyre.com

From the vault. The simplest of the four — on the surface. I love how all four of them work together, too. Its fun to collect art, even if it is my own.

From the vault. Three elements. One tension. And a little secret in the white if you get close enough. Back it goes.

From the vault. Sometimes gravity isn't a straight line down — it wanders. Look close — the background has something to say too. Staying in my collection.

From the vault. The Gravity Series — minimalist abstracts exploring weight, tension, and space. Black pushes the red line. And if you look close enough, the white isn't just white. Not for sale.

It's Throwback Thursday. 2021 — nothing-fancy colored pencils and maybe 20 minutes to capture a parakeet. Fast and loose was the whole point. I should really do something like these again.

It's Wishful Wednesday. What art piece are you holding out for that no one seems to be making yet?

Fire in the dark. There's something about a campfire that just feels like home — no matter where you are. The cold retreats. The dark pulls back. And for a little while, wherever you are is exactly where you're supposed to be.

He is risen. This is the same cross from yesterday — but burned into wood this time. Same image, different journey. Wood burned art on a live edge slab. Some things deserve to be revisited. Happy Easter.

Yesterday thorns. Today a cross. A small ACEO painting — acrylic on a 2.5×3.5 card. Sometimes a subject finds you and won't let go.

Good Friday. Some images don't need many words. Done with permanent marker in my sketchbook. Prep work for a future piece.
