Well, it wasn’t Vlad’s Best Day Ever.
Leaving the nest can be dangerous, especially in the middle of a big city where cars, people, bikes all make life more complicated for a fledgling American kestrel who can’t yet fly well. Vlad was scooped up and brought to the clinic.
The bad news: he won’t get to be taught by his own parents.
The good: he’s receiving expert care and will get a second chance in the wild.

This is rare scientific footage recorded in 2012 in the waters of the Azores (Portugal). An adult bottlenose dolphin with a severe spinal deformity (scoliosis) — its body curved into an S-shape — was unable to swim as fast as other dolphins. It was left behind by its own pod because it could not keep up. 🐬💓
Instead, the dolphin was accepted by a group of sperm whales. The slower-moving whales frequently rubbed against its body, swam closely beside it, and protected the dolphin as if it were a member of their own group. This was the first time humans had documented non-hostile (friendly) behavior between sperm whales and another species.
It shows that sperm whales possess remarkable intelligence and a strong capacity for compassion, willing to “adopt” a vulnerable individual even from a different species.

@fugioutliberem Maybe I haven’t tried much Senegalese food specifically but I’ve not been a fan previously. And it’s actually very similar to Sudanese food in lots of ways but it’s not bad just FINE imo.

Have somehow gone from having to actively control my sweet tooth (refusing to buy oreos and peanutbutter cups) to being repulsed by too much sugar and i know that it lit is just eating tons berries regularly. Crazy tho did not think this was possible.
