I look like this. Idaho will throw me in jail for five years for using the bathroom discretely.
I don’t understand how anyone can not get that people like me are being eliminated from participating in public life.
The idea is force a vulnerable minority to publicly identify ourselves where bigots can dehumanize and freely discriminate against us.
I didn’t ask to be born like this, and not all of me survived. How much of my humanity must bigots steal from me before your hatred of us has its fill?

He was mentally ill, already grounded, detained and incapacitated. I don’t think repeatedly kicking him in the head achieves anything. The officers should have adhered to code of conduct.

The overall rise in hate, including Islamophobia, anti-Palestinian racism, and anti-Semitism, has been one of Canada’s greatest challenges.
Threats, violence, and hatred cannot go unchecked. There must be justice and accountability.
Calling for the destruction and violent treatment of any community is utterly unacceptable. It is a positive step that, in this case, such threats and pronouncements have been treated seriously.
