i think passive-aggressively accusing someone of not being a real fan of something/someone because of jokes they make on twitter is childish.
i think people should be allowed to curate their accounts however they may please. whether it be entirely sfw, entirely nsfw, entirely rps, entirely jokes, entirely genuine or a mix of all of these things. regardless of what you post about, i think we should all possess the ability to realize that what a person posts on a twitter fan account is not and does not show the entirety of their character or who they are.
it's important to remember that every single person on here is a real person with complex thoughts, beliefs, characteristics and interests. and just because those things are not posted online, does NOT mean that they don't exist.
your subjective standard does not constitute what makes someone more or less of a fan just because that's what you believe is morally right. people have different comfortability levels when it comes to expressing deep admiration or affection for something they care about.
sharing your deep and raw, personal feelings for something you're passionate about or love, especially on the internet where anyone can see, can be an extremely uncomfortable and vulnerable situation for some. and being uncomfortable sharing those feelings for everyone to see doesn't mean that you don't feel those things truly or deeply.
i think trying to shame someone and equate the amount of affection they show online to whether they are a true fan or not is narrow-minded.
also on my page, we're all adults. if you have an issue/conflict with me, i encourage you to address it with me straight up and i will be more than happy to discuss these issues maturely and politely. i firmly believe and stand by the idea that conflict should be dealt with immediately, honestly and as kindly as possible. hiding behind an anonymous shield is futile and does nothing but create unnecessary drama.
