This is probably the whackest take I've seen you post publicly. And directly contradicting yourself in the comments below too, saying that this Tweet '' isn't to shame '' ? Generative AI steals from artists without permission, destroys the environment and is unethical in many more ways. Kitbashing is dressing up a character with commercially licensed human-made assets. Creators of these assets may have learned their skills by using tutorials and data other people have made accessible online to teach about their passion, so yes, they can be ''trained by data of other artists'', but those artists have shared this knowledge willingly. Using pre-made assets is not equal to stealing from human artists, nor does it hurt the climate. You ARE wrongfully shaming people for something they didn't do, because nothing about using human-made assets compares to using AI. Someone in the comments asked, if eating prepared meals is AI to you (after you said that kitbashers are ''ai avi creators''), to which you responded: if it was prepared with AI yes ... Assets used by kitbashers are not made with AI, so again, you are directly contradicting yourself. What you're saying makes no sense. This is not your ''view'' on things, this is just completely twisting the facts and how things actually are, hurting people who want to start out or simply just enjoy using what others have pre-made. I could make an avatar from scratch that isn't even half the effort or quality of some kitbashed avatars, even if they are just ''put together''.
