the three options for me writing: -complete silence (most common) -background video game music -music that is completely different from what im writing but the vibe of the chords & melodies works so im just tuning out the lyrics

i wrote a lot of most recent heading nowhere chapter to if a tree falls by the beaches (a breakup song). now im writing really mushy romantic stuff to current affairs by lorde. woops

sometimes i listen to music while writing and its just for the vibes of the music itself, not the lyrics, since i tune them out. which ends up with me listening to songs that are completely opposite in topic to what im writing
