The "Gifted Kid" to "Anxious Adult" pipeline is realizing you never actually learned how to study – you just learned how to be naturally good at things. Now, as an adult, if I can't master a new skill perfectly in the first 5 minutes, my brain doesn't say, "You need practice." It screams: "You are a fraud, your intelligence was a lie, and we must quit immediately before anyone notices."
