#Sorare is probably the game that’s brought me the most joy in the past 10 years. I genuinely doubt we’ll see anything this innovative again anytime soon. But am I the only one who feels like the plot has been completely lost? And I believe it would actually be easy to bring the magic back and make the game sustainable. Step one: remove the unnecessary complexity. - Essences - Divisions (a very, very, very bad idea) - Hot Streaks - Arena (an okay idea, might work) - Crafting - Sealing - In-Season (the worst idea) - XP - Collection Bonus - Multi Entry (could work) Instead, focus on what truly matters: + Cap modes (very important, makes scouting meaningful again) + Reward trading (this is key) Hear me out. You can tweak the numbers however you want, but just to illustrate the potential: 100,000 active users €2 average fee per trade 100 trades per user per month 12 months → That’s €240 million in revenue per year, just from trading fees. No need to rely heavily on new card auctions (which will still exist, of course). Just from trading, Sorare could become profitable. Yes, I know Sorare’s current trading fees are low. But that’s because the system actively discourages trading: 50% penalties in “In-Season” No cap modes Collection bonuses skew the market And on top of that not a single reason to buy cards from the 2nd market. Bringing back the original magic means: Football knowledge is rewarded. You buy young talent now, and watch them become stars in 2–3 years. I still remember the days when people bought Vandevoordt early and he became the top U23 keeper years later. Scouting matters. Negotiating with other managers was incredibly fun and unique. I spent sooo much time in discord back then. Cards have value for the entire carrier. No unnecessary complexity. What am I missing? Why isn’t there more focus on the secondary market and its volume? So many businesses have found success by doing exactly that. Even something like pumpfun managed to generate €400 million in just 12 months from fees alone, trading scammy memecoins. And here, we’re talking about trading real football careers, with actual utility. Literally the future of sport trading cards.

@ItshaberSorare As a SR only gallery of mostly Arg+MLS I was initially fuming. But once the dust settled I realised I could move some pieces around here and there to compete in both Chall + Cont. I have enough for 4-5 Classic lineups in both so the aim will be to win In Season cards gradually.

To the people who's galleries are contender heavy/focused.. How do you feel after the update? Would love to hear your thoughts ahead of the Sorare Ramble pod this week.

@MLS_pioberna It seems criminal that I can't lineup Messi/Cucho alongside my River or Tigres boys. America galleries have been decimated with this update. We now have to choose between MLS or Arg/MX.

Don’t get me wrong I think the new system is cool and for new players and whales but it actually fuc*s all old players who took enjoyment in lining up decent teams and get a fair payout from time to time. I am a regular player who always reinvested every TH and I feel fuc*ed.😞

Due to a bot error today in @Sorare it was possible to get cards worth the value of a pretty good car. I hope that people will realize that it was a mistake and return these cards to @basilp_nft but even if not, it's the best way to promote your service and Sorare.

@Sorare It's just a glorified way to continually reduce rewards. Makes no sense from a user perspective. I can now only win 1 card instead of potentially 8 cards during that period. And that 1 card will not be worth 8x the value. In fact it's pretty much 1:1 in terms of tier. Dumb.

@Quinny3001 Dislike it. Picking divisions is all about yield for me. In 8 GWs I'd expect to win ~1 ETH in Cap 270 SR rewards based on previous win rate. Instead I'll be picking up 1x T3/T4 SR valued ~0.3. Makes no sense to play it.

It doesn't feel like 8 GWs worth of stuff does it? Love the idea and think it's a great dynamic to test for a mode like this What's your thoughts?
