there’s one thing that kinda scares me about kavan and jasmine, and it’s how much they actually care but how badly they’re misreading each other in real time. jasmine is impulsive, she reacts first when she feels jealousy, fear, rejection, anything that hits her emotionally (like pulling lorenzo for chats bc she was mad with kavan or reacting during the challenge without really sitting with it first). and then she regrets it later bc it comes from fear, not lack of feeling. but kavan doesn’t see the “fear behind it” he sees the action itself. and kavan is the opposite, he’s calm, observant, he watches everything, he analyses before he speaks or decides anything. so when he sees her react or put walls up, he might genuinely start thinking “she doesn’t like me enough” or “i’m more invested than she is” (exactly what i think he’s thinking rn) and that’s the part that scares me bc jasmine’s walls are so high that even her love looks like distance sometimes. she protects herself so much that showing softness feels like losing control for her. but kavan doesn’t know that, he just sees inconsistency. and over time that can make someone like him slowly detach, not bc he doesn’t care, but bc he’s trying to protect himself from feeling like he’s alone in it. and the worst part is he feels like the type that, once he closes off emotionally, he really doesn’t go back easily. it’s honestly painful watching it bc we have two people who actually feel too much, but express it in opposite ways that clash instead of connect 💔 #loveisland #loveislanduk
