I predict just as the rest of the world will be energy independent on renewables and clean energy in general. The US will reach peak oil and will never ever recover. The slow grind of moving towards a net zero carbon energy grid takes loads of grinding for many many years. I predict that either some energy hungry country in Europe or China will reach there first. Sweden is a massive producer of energy in northern Europe, one could argue most of it is clean, 97% or so. However it’s a tiny country and the massive impacts will be when a super power like China, France or Germany goes 100% clean. Sure we will need petrochemicals for a long time, but it’s madness to burn for heat or moving land vehicles around. let’s see, this could be the beginning of the end or simply not
