Late ’24 and ’25 felt like a moment for bold design moves - Jaguar, Apple’s Liquid Glass, @nothing Phone 3. I’d love to see the same kind of fun, confident design progress again in ’26. Did anything else stand out beyond those?

hot take: Apple is going to be a big winner in AI - native apps are naturally easier to vibe code, you only break things for individual users - apple ecosystem connects to a bunch of extremely important data like health and messaging that makes AI better - everyone’s buying a Mac mini for their agent—the TAM for their hardware is going up 100x

Playing with agent engineering + Swift right now. CloudKit for sharing data between users (no backend, no infra) is growing on me. Lock-in aside, feels like a great fit for small AI-native apps. 😊

Claude Code is absurdly good at building native macOS apps in Swift. No errors. No IDE. No Swift knowledge. Built multiple tools that speed up my daily work.

@fvonx @johnnylevai Booking Holdings (owners of booking.com) is a US corporation and SAP was founded in 1972 (so more than fifty years ago, which is the cut off).

Whenever I see programmer salary numbers from Europe, I always have to do a double take. It's hard to fathom that we work in the same industry. With bonuses this year, many of our folks are at $400,000+, and we're not even in any AI-hype sector.
