@wasmerio I agree that a modular monolith is better suited for many smaller companies. I have a Go monolith in production that is deployed as a single AWS Lambda function and works like a charm.

Good article. I think Kubernetes is one symptom of the bigger misconception that monoliths are bad or outdated when they are still the best option for most applications. I'm not sure I agree that something like AWS Lambda is a solution, though, as it shares the inherent complexity of excessive separation of micro-services.
