Building an on-chain token constraint system on Solana using Token-2022 hooks. Not UI checks. Not off-chain rules. ✔ Max holding per wallet ✔ Real-time validation ✔ Whitelist exceptions ✔ O(1) lookups via PDAs Devnet-ready and fully tested. Code ↓ github.com/fxckwhale002/f…

@jacobvcreech Feels like the real shift is happening at the token level. Being able to enforce behavior directly inside transfers opens up a completely different design space.

Solana's future is bright - Lower blocktimes - Lower rent costs - Larger transactions - Higher account limits - Optimized token actions - State of the art consensus - Major protocol bloat removal and so much more coming to enable new apps on Solana

@SolPlay_jonas Feels like composability gets even more interesting when constraints are enforced at the token level. Instead of just composing behavior, you can shape it directly.

@solana_devs Feels like we're just starting to explore what's possible at the token level. Been experimenting with enforcing constraints directly inside transfers — opens up interesting design space.

Hard limits are easy. Designing constraints that adapt as behavior changes is much harder. Feels like token logic is moving in that direction.

This is all done inside the transfer itself using Token-2022 hooks. No UI checks. No off-chain logic. If a transfer violates the rules → it simply fails.

I built an on-chain token constraint system on Solana using Token-2022 transfer hooks. It started as an anti-whale limit. But I realized hard caps aren't enough.

I moved from a fixed max holding limit to dynamic token constraints using Token-2022 hooks. Instead of just blocking above a threshold, the system makes accumulation progressively harder as a wallet approaches the limit. Feels like a more flexible way to enforce distribution.

@otcmprotocol Feels like this is one of the biggest open design questions right now. If hooks are bypassed at the execution layer, then a lot of token-level guarantees break down.

CEDEX: The Only Trading Venue That Keeps Compliance On-Chain Why can't ST22 Digital Securities trade on Raydium, Jupiter, or Orca? Because external DEXs disable SPL Token-2022 Transfer Hooks. That means stripping all 42 compliance controls — accredited investor checks, OFAC screening, holding period enforcement, circuit breakers — from the token at the moment of trade. That's not a feature. That's a regulatory catastrophe. CEDEX (cedex.market) is purpose-built for compliant digital securities trading: → All 42 Transfer Hook controls enforced on every transaction → >10% price movement in 5 minutes = automatic 15-minute halt → Global Unified Liquidity Pool (LP tokens burned at initialization) → Protocol-owned liquidity: OTCM Solana Treasury + Staking Pool Compliance isn't something you add later. It's the architecture. #CEDEX #ComplianceByDesign #TransferHooks #DigitalSecurities #OTCMProtocol $GROO

@getblockio The protocol-level aspect is what makes it really interesting. Feels like we're just starting to explore what token logic can actually enforce during execution.

Token Extensions (Token-2022) is Solana's upgraded token program that adds powerful, optional features directly at the protocol level — no custom code or forked programs required. Here's what Token-2022 enables you to do: ✅ Charge transfer fees at the protocol level (enforceable royalties) ✅ Control which wallets can interact with your token via Transfer Hooks ✅ Hide transaction amounts with Confidential Transfers ✅ Create non-transferable (soulbound) tokens for credentials ✅ Grant permanent delegate authority for regulatory compliance ✅ Embed metadata directly on mint accounts In this guide, you will learn what Token Extensions are, why they matter for institutional adoption and RWA tokenization, the key extensions and how to get started building with Token-2022 using the GetBlock Solana API. youtube.com/watch?v=Db-CSM…

Dynamic anti-whale rules feel more interesting than fixed limits. A fixed max holding cap is simple. But adaptive constraints can make accumulation harder as a wallet gets closer to the limit. Less “block everything”. More “make concentration progressively harder”.

One thing I underestimated building with Token-2022: Passing the correct accounts is everything. Miss one → transfer fails. Hooks are powerful, but they force you to be explicit about every dependency.

Most “anti-whale” tokens don’t actually enforce anything. They rely on frontend checks or off-chain assumptions. That means: – easy to bypass – inconsistent behavior – no guarantees Token-2022 changes that. You can enforce rules directly inside the transfer. Different game.

@SecuritiesDino @solana Interesting use of hooks for compliance. Feels like Token-2022 is pushing more logic directly into the token layer instead of relying on external assumptions

If you're still using DCA the old way, your orders are visible for bots to frontrun. DCA V2 changes that: - Orders stay off-chain - When they fire, they look like a normal swap - Bots get nothing to target Plus USD price limits, auto-retries on failed fills, and Token-2022 support. Switch to DCA V2 today.

A few things I learned building this: Token-2022 hooks are powerful but tricky You must pass all accounts correctly PDA design matters a lot On-chain enforcement hits different Still exploring this space.
