Sparrow, Ashigaru Wallet, Monerujo, Anonero -- Any other bitcoin or monero wallets that are fully open source and non-sanctions-enforcing and allow or require Tor or i2p for network access? AFAIK, there are no stablecoin wallets meeting all these criteria: FOSS, Global, Tor/i2p.

Just read about a planned 9GW data center that would be built in Utah. That’s half the size of the Bitcoin network’s total power demand. They want to bring their own nat gas plants. Before, with Bitcoin mining, I used to argue the environmental threat is small. Miners will never build 9GW sites. But AI? We should be concerned. We can benefit greatly from AI but its growth shouldn’t come at the cost of our ecosystem.

We’ve been on a side-quest, and we have good news from the other side! 40 million Kenyans now have a bitcoin Lightning Address! They didn’t need to sign up for one because they had it this entire time, attached to the phone number in their pocket! Try it: send bitcoin to 0717252303@bitcoin.co.ke (254 is optional). The BTC arrives as KES in their M-Pesa. ⚡ EVERY M-Pesa number works. All 40,000,000. Wallets with LUD-09 support give you a nice clickable link to see your M-Pesa receipt. For example: bitcoin.co.ke/receipt/6528a4…

@x3m6r9 @BitBoxSwiss > The ability to convert a multi-wallet into a Bitcoin-only wallet and vice versa. doesn't that defeat the whole point of having a custom bitcoin-only bootloader&firmware ?

Bitcoin chart showing entry and exit points at a glance. The ability to convert a multi-wallet into a Bitcoin-only wallet and vice versa. Be able to encrypt and decrypt the memory card. An accessory for your keychain so you can carry it with you. Similar to a Yubikey. If technically feasible. Prepaid with small balance maybe.

One important note: this is a mandatory upgrade. We're rotating the signing keys (@_benkaufman removed, @k9ert added) and shipping an updated bootloader with the new key set. Skip this release and your device gets stranded on v1.9.0 — no further SD-card upgrades

1/8 Today, we introduce CTR, the coordination asset for the Bitcoin economy. Over the past two years, we built an end-to-end Bitcoin economy that relies on the Bitcoin Network as its source of truth. With CTR, we're handing control of this economy to the people who use it.

do you understand what just happened to Robinhood.. Someone sent a perfect phishing email - real domain, DKIM pass, SPF pass, DMARC pass and Robinhood's own servers delivered it. Here's the chain: → Gmail treats john.doe@ and johndoe@ as the same inbox → Attacker registers a NEW Robinhood account using the dot trick of YOUR email → Sets the device name to raw HTML code → Robinhood's "unrecognized activity" email renders it unsanitized The "Review Activity Now" button? Attacker's phishing site. The email? 100% real.. Sent by Robinhood.. Signed by Robinhood.. Just because it passed every security check doesn't mean it's safe.
Abdel@rockkdev

New Robinhood phishing chain that's kinda beautiful: 1. Attacker creates an RH account using the Gmail dot trick of your email (same inbox, different address) 2. Sets device name to HTML 3. RH's "unrecognized activity" email renders the device name unsanitized (html injection) The result is a real email from noreply@robinhood.com, DKIM pass, SPF pass, DMARC pass, with a phishing CTA Just because it's real, doesn't mean it's safe... $HOOD

I don't think @lensassaman was Satoshi. He didn't know C++, nor ever used Windows per his wife & he strongly criticized Bitcoin's lack of privacy. But this is wild: the whitepaper cites an obscure, at that time print-only, paper… and he shared a photo of his office in Belgium in 2007:

@BitBoxSwiss @Laurastacksats If someone just wants to hold their Bitcoin and occasionally make a few smaller transactions, in my opinion there are no better options than the BitBox and Blockstream Jade. Sparrow on desktop, their own app on mobile. 12 words, passphrase, watch only, done
