The outage by Optus today just goes to show why banks need to keep branches open so that people can access cash to buy essential goods and services.

Boomers are so out of touch with reality.
Back then you could afford to buy a house, pay it off quickly, have 5 kids, on just a man's salary.
Now?
It's 20k a year for 1 kid's daycare. 2 kids = 40k a year.
We can barely afford to have a house + 2 kids with BOTH of us working.
These boomers have such an attitude when we point these things out and call us soft.
BOOMERS are soft and had it on easy mode, it couldn't have been easier and luckier for them to be born in that time.
My parents were talking about buying a second home in florida to vacation for 5 months each year. I'm in my mid 30s. I will NEVER be able to afford something like that when i turn 60, and likely social security is cut by then.
Instead of them helping us pay off our house(so we don't pay double due to the % rates) so we can have another kid, they want to throw 300k at a fun vacation home.
Sorry, but why did you have kids in the first place???
Because you want to ignore financial reality you put is into, hang us out to dry so you can enjoy a second house in florida??? You could pay off my house and we could then afford to have more kids(which you say you wish we had more of!!!)
My kids won't even be able to afford having kids at this rate.
Went from 1 man's salary can afford house car vacations and 5 kids to both parents working(we make about 130k combined) can barely afford house(take 0 vacations) and we thrift spend, and had to take out a loan for a new roof, and we are barely going to be able to have another kid. I need to find a btter job likely to afford all the increases in gas(we spend 10k a year commuting)
AND i am more well off than most of my friends, who will NEVER be able to afford a house and kids.
My friends who make even 20% less than us, cannot afford to have kids. it's either a house or kids. Rent keeps rising so a house can make sense.
It's INSANE how entitled boomers and my grandparents are. Just wase their money and don't pass anything down to help.
Bring us into this world and "welp, fuck you at 18 you can FAFO" while hey have it on easy mode and barely understand how to invest and it all comes easy with gaurnteed income from investments that steal money from us.
College loans and house loan % APR we cannot afford, even if it's slightly cheaper than in 1990s THEIR money was worth more and the dollar has devalued like 80% since then.
Boomers and grandparents are some of the most soft, clueless, lazy, and unehlpful pieces of shit to ever walk this earth and wonder why we are so mad and depressed.
SHAME.

@S117doteth @BucketHatGolfer Work harder or smarter, bro. I helped my parents get their first investment property, I’m 23 worked since I was 16. I’m guessing some choices you’ve made across your life have put you in the struggle your in. Let’s not blame your parents…
English

So instead of going on vacations why don't you help pay of their student loans?
Did you just have kids to completely stop helping them at 18 years old?
Don't expect them to help you i yours 70s and 80s if that is your attitude, because i damn well sure am doing nothing for my parents when they are older.
No.
It's messsed up my parents will buy a 300k secod home for funsies and travel the world while we had to wait 4 years between kids to have another one, take out a roof loan, soon to take out a car loan.
The intereest on a house loan ends up making it cost 2x or 3x. so a 200k house loan is really like 400k to 600k total payment over 30 years.
So my parents would rather go F off for 5 months to Florida every year than help us who can barely keep up with payments as gas 2xed in price, groceries went up, internet went up, phone plans went up, everyting went up.
Why on gods green earth would i be happy my parents are vacationing around when we have no support and they think of themselves?
going to be a rude awakening for you if you think your 20 year old kids are not going to resent you for seeing you spend your money on yourself and not helping them get ahead in life.
i will never act like that towards my kids, they will get financial help and i will work extra for them to help them avoid paying interest and being debt slaves

@Bitboy_Crypto @eth_ben @Bitboy_Crypto remember when that woman called you out on stage for scamming people and she had the receipts to back it up and you had a meltdown onstage and called her a baby toucher
