The Ga West Municipal Assembly (GWMA) has begun operations within the central Business area of Amasaman to clear Traders and hawkers trading on pedestrian walk ways and on the shoulders of the streets.

This is in line with the Directive from the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon Henry Quartey to all MCEs in the Region to rid the streets of hawkers and traders so as to reduce vehicular traffic and to avert any looming damages on the traders themselves.
