@alliepape What kind of yeast is it? Booming isn’t really necessary if you use instant/rapid-rise yeast and you know it’s fresh. Sometimes yeast won’t bloom if it’s old/dead
Round 1: Put yeast into what we (imbeciles) thought was lukewarm milk by the touch
Round 2: Heated the milk to 120° and then let it cool down a bit to 110 before adding yeast
Round 3: Microwaved milk repeatedly to ensure it stayed in the 105° to 110 range the entire time
We blew all three of our packets of active dry yeast on trying to get it to foam in milk for this cinnamon roll recipe, and it never did. Can any bakers tell me what we’re doing wrong?
