PM Tusk: Some say that Ukraine should be grateful for everything. The truth is exactly the opposite. The rest of us should be grateful to Ukraine.

Ku pamięci wszystkich ukraińskich sportowców zabitych przez sowiecki terroryzm. 🇺🇦🇪🇺🇵🇱

Creating and spreading fake, AI-generated images of Auschwitz is a dangerous act of distortion. It not only falsifies history. It also harasses the memory of the victims. The history of Auschwitz is a well-documented story. Altering its visual record with AI imagery introduces distortion. It can foster disinformation and denial. Using made-up images, no matter how “poignant” they seem, is a dangerous erosion of facts. Some of these posts are widely shared by well-meaning people who are unaware that they are spreading such disinformation. This can foster confusion between authentic history and visual fiction. While some action has been taken to shut down pages for anti-spam, anti-bot, or misuse of monetization policy, it is still saddening and disappointing that Meta & Facebook do not consider such activity a violation of the platform's regulations. This should change. We believe that memory and truth deserve better protection. If you see such posts, please don’t share them. Report them and block such pages. Instead, follow @AuschwitzMuseum where every name, every photo, and every story is based on rigorous historical research and the utmost respect for the truth. We are also present on different platforms. We ask you to be cautious. * If the photo is too perfect, too sharp, or stylized, be suspicious. * If the story is overly poetic, rich in emotional detail but lacking historical grounding, be cautious. * If the page name has nothing to do with Holocaust history or has changed names repeatedly, be alert. * Try to verify names through trusted sources
