Self employed help applies to people who have filed 2018/19 tax return and if not have another four weeks to do so that looks like a deadline of 23 April. If possible will average 3 years profits. if not then take what s/e person has.

This is a huge scheme covering 3.8 million people which is 95% of self-employed people, the kind of thing that would normally take Whitehall years to create, the 5% not covered are the wealthiest self-employed people who earn an average of about 200,000 pounds

Plan for the self-employed scheme is apply now, payment won't come until June but you'll get backdated cash then for March, April and May .... but they are left having to apply for benefits until then and there is huge pressure there
