Jadi di Korea Selatan ada kejadian seorang pria yang kelihatannya WNA lagi naik eskalator sambil bawa koper sekitar 20 kg. Dia lagi ngobrol sama temannya, terus kopernya lepas. Koper itu jatuh dan menggelinding dari ketinggian kira-kira setara lantai 5 apartemen, lalu langsung menimpa perempuan yang ada di depannya.
Korban mengalami luka berat, mulai dari pendarahan otak sampai tulang rusuk patah, dan harus dirawat lebih dari 6 minggu. Selama proses itu dia sampai kehilangan pekerjaan, dan bahkan mengalami efek jangka panjang seperti kehilangan indra penciuman.
Sementara itu pelakunya malah menganggap ini cuma kecelakaan ringan. Proses damai pun juga gagal dan akhirnya korban cuma dapat ganti rugi yang bahkan lebih kecil dari biaya pengobatannya, sekitar 7 juta won. Ada yang bilang kalo pelaku akhirnya kabur balik ke negaranya, tapi ini belum tentu valid.

(사건개요) 1. 외국인으로 보이는 남성이 20kg 캐리어를 가지고 에스컬레이터 탑승 2. 일행과 얘기하다가 캐리어가 놓치는 바람에 아파트 5층 높이에서 캐리어가 굴러떨어져 앞에 타고 있던 여성을 덮침 3. 피해자는 뇌출혈, 갈비뼈 골절 등 전치 6주 이상 중상, 입원 치료 과정에서 직장 잃고, 후각 상실 등 후유증까지 발생 4. 가해자는 '경미한 사고'라고 주장하며 합의가 결렬되어 피해자는 치료비보다 적은 보상금(약 700만 원) 받음 정확한 내용은 아니지만 후기를 찾아보니 가해자는 자기 나라로 튀었다는 얘기도 나오네요.. 에스컬레이터 탈때 꼭 캐리어 잡아주세요 그리고 탑승하시면 꼭 뒤를 보세요..
