@alexinexxx ah last thing, maybe also consider which windows manager / desktop environment you'd like best. omarchy uses hyprland; GNOME and KDE are more mainstream; plenty of others also available in most distros.

timelapse #125 (12 hrs): - made adjustments for the book from a bunch of peer reviewers (first 4 chapters of reviews in one sitting) - started going through sima 2 paper - moving super fast in iterm2 across 5 projects + work at the same time with gemini 3 to learn and think with, and opus 4.5 to code in parallel. - getting used to subagent delegation in claude code using "Guided Learning" in gemini to ask stupid questions about papers i get stuck on - setting up grafana to track all my metrics across macbook and gpu rig performance (and claude code sessions) - watching the walking dead

Sure 😊 And yeah, I hear you on that... I'm the same. Time evaluations do get better after calibrating on enough projects, but a big part of that is also purposefully over-estimating - by a fair margin - to also allocate time for parts that unexpectedly take longer, and to finish "ahead of time" vs on the dot so you have time to rest / celebrate / recover too. In any case, you're doing great, and you're learning from all these experiences! Remember, us engineers are problem solvers, so you'll solve this one too 😉

There are a lot of "scanners" already that check the live production URL, but just wanted to do a quick local version check. "Something better" would be checking lock files, auto patch, etc... but just wanted something quick & dirty, with no intention to maintain.
