you see the same names winning in ygo and master duel, yet in optcg u see the same ppl topping OCCASIONALLY in the west. i think east optcg is very different because there is a separate layer of ignorance even at the deckbuilding stage.

optcg is a fascinating game because it’s by far the hardest tcg i’ve ever played yet simultaneously u can play a perfect game and ur opponent can play like shit and sometimes ull still convincingly lose. yugioh would almost never (yes u can be the goat and still go 2nd no ht gg)

For all those asking, here’s SHANKSSS List for my comfort level, disappointing run for LCQ. R1: UP Luffy ❌ (Triple ramp into Sanji Mum, Sanji Mum, Sanji Mum and Sanji Katakuri…..) Managed to clear 1 Sanji 1 Mum on his 4 9 drop turn, but still lost. Still a cool deck 🔥

@rjtriedtotweet Yeah SP's are usually just referred to as SP's (or sometimes Special Parallel's) so idk. 🤷 Seems like kind of a big thing that isn't getting talked about much, but I suppose we'll all find out soon enough.

@gagehungrybug They might have the right translation. Super Parallel can mean differently here. I mean, for me it's the SPs but that's also the term they use for Mangas.

@TCGTaj Enel is a real roadblock for the leader - - - I can't really think of there being a build that would help tremendously in the MU but maybe I'm just lacking the creativity 😅

Here's my Sanji deck list. Performance wise, I had a terrible day. I went 3-5. I made a meta call thinking there would be a lot of GP Luffy and Teach, but I only saw 1 of each. Got paired into 3 Enel back to back in my opening rounds. I learn from my losses and come back better. I need to work harder, tweak it and practice more to make this deck better 🙏🏻 Experience wise, I had an amazing day! I had so much fun with my son and the London One Piece Crew. It was like a family supporting and encouraging each other throughout the day. So many London players getting top finishes too.
