31, 32, 33, 34, 35. Animated Resident Evil Movies Don’t feel like adding these individually but you can see my ratings on Letterboxd. They’re mostly fun flicks to waste 90 minutes on but I wouldn’t go in expecting anything more than that.

@SiiiK_CyniX_ That’s literally what all of this is. The only reason people want Ada as a future protagonist is because of bias towards the character. It makes very little sense for capcom to pick her over Jill, Claire, or even Chris. And even then there are much better side protags than her.

Ada stans will look you dead in the eyes and tell you with a straight face that she should be the next protagonist of an RE game. Completely unserious people

@lowiqfraud @AntifaCostanza Honestly you’re probably right, it’s been a while since I’ve played OG and I think I do remember having a lot of shotgun ammo at least. Remake is definitely a lot more unforgiving

I'm seeing a weird amount of people start to argue that ammo scarcity was never really a thing in Resident Evil and it's like, my first memory of RE2 was shooting at the opening zombies, running out of ammo and eating shit.

@jaelethal It doesn’t correlate because you somehow misunderstood what I said. RE6 almost killed the franchise and Ada had a heavy role in the story. She wasn’t the reason for the game’s failure but she’s apart of it because the story in that game sucked ass. Idc to see her again.

@gaisericss That does not correlate in any way shape or form. Ada was not the problem with RE6. Its like saying Sherry, Helena, Jake, etc shouldn't be a protag because of RE6. Capcom has made Ada a protagonist in several entries already. I would much prefer storylines ended than left open.

Kamala Khan would be massively improved as a character if her main goal, outside of basic hero stuff, was to have Ms Marvel groom her.

If it’s not going to be annual then you’re fucked with the first few seasons. There’s a reason why the kids looked fine in the first two movies but way older in the third despite being like 13. This also doesn’t account for potential writer strikes that could completely fuck it

Similar to Seven Samurai when I originally watched it, I can’t stop thinking of that ending to The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Both endings are vastly different but are incredibly well done in their own ways. The music swelling in that final showdown was so kino

@vergilsgrief The book does it a lot better, that was always my issue with the movie was that the way the players found the clues was dumb as fuck and made no sense. Even the book stops making sense later on though

@gaisericss I also think if the scavenger hunt was more interesting it could work, like not just going in reverse in the race, or doing the shining bit

Spielberg did ready player one, because he would get a paycheck for being on set for 2 days and then have a vfx team work 65 hour weeks

@jaelethal Not only is RE6 a prime example of why she shouldn’t be a protag in the next game but it’s also the main reason why Capcom will probably never make her a protagonist again. I’d much rather have new characters like Grace helm the franchise of the main games than preexisting ones

@gaisericss Not an Ada stan, apparently I have to say that before I type now, but she should be the next protag of an RE game, especially with how RE6 ended off. In that same vein, a few characters have unfinished storylines that should be protags again at some point.

@vergilsgrief The beginning of the book actually starts out like an mmo and seemed like it was trying to make the story more similar to the goonies with a massive scavenger hunt but the constant references later on without any irony just loses me
