Press Release on Egyptian Accusation-October 2025

Based on the graph, annual flow volume before GERD ≈43 BCM, after ≈53 BCM (sums of monthly MCM). Variation (10 BCM higher after): Likely due to different hydrological years; "after" data from wetter period with higher rainfall in Blue Nile basin. Dam regulation evens flow but doesn't add water—evaporation typically reduces total slightly.

Orthodox Christmas in Ethiopia 🇪🇹 ☦️ What a spectacular sight to behold!

"መኪና ገዝቶ ስለ ነዳጁ መወደድ የሚጨነቅ ሰዉ ይኖራል ብዬ አላስብም ፤ ካለም መኪናዉን ሽጦ ፈረስ ገዝቶ አቢቹ በሰራለት የኮሪደር ልማት ላይ መጋለብ ይችላል::" የቀድሞው አትሌት ፈ(ይ)ሳ ሌሊሳ 😑

At a time when it is almost impossible to comment on Abiy's brutal rule from within the ruling regime, we should be able to look back and learn how leaders like Lemma Megersa managed to declare the autonomy of Oromia's ruling party: "Our master is our people" speech. As a speak-up for the Oromo people who have been suffering since Abiy came to power, I have also spoken up for the Tigrayan people who survived Abiy's devastating war. Now, the Amhara people are at the receiving end of Abiy's barbaric attacks. Amhara regional state leaders should be able to learn from Lemma Megersa how to say NO to their masters. I fully support Amhara's demand to govern its people. Here is a three-minute speech that declared complete autonomy for the ruling party of Oromia at the time. But a wolf in sheep's clothing hijacked the train. Gooftaan keenya uummata keenya! youtu.be/otdV_hAbQ5Q?si… via @YouTube

Sending detainees back to a prison cell on the same day they underwent surgery is cruel and inhumane treatment. The two prominent Amhara leaders, MP Christian Tadele and Yohannes Buayalew, should be released instead and not subjected to further mistreatment. Their continued incarceration serves no purpose and has only deepened societal polarization.
